About A1 Utah Home Inspector

More than 14,000 Utah homes
inspected since 2012

I started A1 Utah Home Inspector in 2012, after years in residential mortgage lending, home construction and cabinet building. As some of the most trusted and experienced home inspectors in Utah, Neil, Brock, Ryan and I have inspected more than 14,000 homes across the Wasatch Front.

Buying a home is probably the most expensive purchase you will ever make, and the cost of a home inspection is extremely small relative to the overall cost. This is no time to cut corners.

Whether you are buying a new property (single family home, condominium, townhouse, or multi-unit) and want to be sure of the property’s condition, you’re selling a property and want to eliminate possible problems that could delay or spoil a sale, or you just want a professional to inspect your home and advise you on the condition, maintenance and/or safety recommendations, we are here to help.

Sincerely,

FAQ

Home Inspection & Hazardous Testing FAQs

What areas do you service?

We take care of our customers all along the Wasatch Front, including Park City, Heber City, and Midway. From Preston to Payson, from Heber to Tooele, we can help you with your home inspection needs!

Are there any additional costs for a Home Inspection that I need to be aware of?

Not with A1 Utah Home Inspector. You will never pay more than our published prices and you will never be charged additional for mileage, older homes or appliance inspection.

How long does it take to perform a Basic Home Inspection?

2-3 hours depending on the size and condition of the home. We perform a thorough detailed inspection on every home, and we prefer the home not be occupied at the time of inspection.

What will I receive when my Home Inspection is completed?

After completing your home inspection, A1 Home Inspectors will email you a thorough, easy-to-read report with pictures and comments regarding your home inspection results. We will also email a copy of this report to your realtor for his/her use in marketing your home for sale. If you prefer, we will also take the time to give you a one-on-one walk through of your home with the inspector to discuss his observations.

What if I have a question about something in my Home Inspection Report?

If you have any questions regarding your home inspections, please call immediately to discuss them at 435-757-3363. Our goal is your complete satisfaction, and we will immediately address any issues or concerns you may have.

How do I change a Home Inspection appointment?

We work very hard to be flexible and work around the schedule that is best for you. If you do need to reschedule an appointment, please give us at least 48 hours notice to reschedule your home inspection. Just call us at 435-757-3363. If there is no answer, please leave a message and we will get back to you.

Do I really need to be worried about Radon in my home?

Every home has radon. The question is how much radon is in your home? To help you know the radon levels in your home, we have combined the 48-hour radon test with a home inspection and reduced the price so you can know your house is safe and ready for occupancy.

How long does a Radon Test take?

48 hours.

How long does it take to get the results from a Methamphetamine Test?

Just 24 hours!

How long does it take to get mold test results?

2-3 working days.

Is my home old enough to have to worry about Lead-Based Paint?

Prior to 1978, all paint products contained lead. So if your home was built after 1978, or you have direct knowledge that the home has been repainted if it was built prior to 1978, a lead-based paint test may not be warranted.

Ready to book your inspection?

Book online and $50 comes off. Your report lands almost immediately, and thermal imaging, pest inspection and a 48-hour radon test are already in the price.
